Sleep, shower, eat: the airside alternative
A long connection does not have to mean leaving. Lounge access covers hot food, drinks, WiFi, power and somewhere quiet to sit, and on an overnight connection that is a genuinely reasonable way to spend a few hours before a bed. It costs a fraction of any tour here.

Yes, and it is often the better version. Several of these listings collect from hotels near Heathrow or from central London rather than from a terminal, which suits a traveller who has already checked in somewhere. A morning start also puts you in front of the guard change.
How long does it take to move between Heathrow terminals?
Heathrow runs a free shuttle bus between terminals every 10 minutes, and the Elizabeth line connects the three airport stations free of charge for transfers. Within one terminal you walk, or take a free tram. Build it into your plan if you land and depart from different buildings.
How much do London Layover tours cost?
Lounge access starts at $45 a head, and the driving tours run from around $414 per person or $441 for a whole car. The spread is wide because some are priced by the person and some by the vehicle. For two or more travellers the per-car products are usually the cheaper answer.
Is a layover tour better than the train into London?
It depends on how long you have and how much you like logistics. The train is far cheaper and perfectly straightforward, and on an eight-hour connection it is a good answer. On five or six hours the value of being met in arrivals, carrying your bags in the vehicle and having somebody else own the return is what you are buying.
Is London Heathrow the only airport these tours work from?
